Good news for Veterans that could not join the American Legion because they were not on active duty during certain periods.
That has changed. The U.S. House passed the bipartisan LEGION Act on Tuesday, extending the recognized wartime era back to Dec. 7, 1941.

Ever notice the mural on our back outside wall?  It was painted by local artist Dave Burnison. He also put together in a PDF file his story of how he put it together.  26 pages. Too much to post here. The entire story is available at the Post. Thanks go to one of our long time members; Jim Armstrong, who  started the project by getting Dave to paint the mural.
